Pollution problems

Last Wednesday I could not attend class because I was sick. However, I was interested in the aspects that were worked on the class. The main objective of the class was to debate about the pollution problems and to classificate which of them was  the most important and the least one. Among them we highlighted the elimination of plastic as an objective to reduce pollution as well as the use of public transport and reduction of water consumption.




On the other hand, the teacher asks us to look for news on the topics discussed.

To conclude, this picture helps us to know about what we can do to reduce pollution. Small actions will become great actions.

5/02/2020 Today we have started the class with a thinking routine called "See, think and wonder". We have gone to the playground and we have looked around us to answer the questions but taking into account that the topic was "The Universe". What can I see? I can see the Sun that is shinning. What do I think? I think that the Earth is moving around the Sun, that this planet allows vital development and the importance of gravity. What does it make me wonder? The pollution and how long the earth will survive. This thinking routine is a useful technique which can be implemented in primary as it helps students to think and reflect about real life. It was a fantastic idea to go to the playground as it was motivating and inspiring. Then, the teacher asks us to answer the following questions: Where are we? What is the Earth planet? How does the Earth look like? How can we know something about the Universe? We answer these questions

A plastic ocean

17/04/2020   T o start the class we have made an individual reflection on the film "A plastic ocean". The film is a documentary about the consumption of plastic on our planet. In it you can see how the ocean has no limits and plastic travels all over the world. In this way many animals consume plastic and the food chain is affected. Furthermore, many of them die. On the other hand, many poor communities live on plastic islands where hygiene conditions are low. Besides, these communities use plastic for cooking, which is a great health risk since it can cause respiratory problems as well as cancer. All in all, w e have in our hands a problem to solve.
